Object: A Fine Suku Charm

Notes: This fine Suku charm is carved from
hardwood with a rich patina from decades of
handling. Note the deep adze work on the bottom of
the figure.The highpoints are worn down exposing
the beautiful reddish brown wood underneath.
Adorned with antique orange, blue, yellow and
black tradebeads. In addition to rare ivory beads on
the bottom of the 'necklace'; these types of beads
would only have been used with objects of great
power or importance. This piece comes with a
wonderful custom base that floates the charm above
the long beaded necklace.
